If your chain uses a master link, you can use the Park Tool MLP-1.2 Chain Link Pliers. They make removal and replacement of your master links quick and effortless. It inserts into the master link with specially sized jaws, then you squeeze the handles to open, or pull the handles to close the link. It is compatible with 5 to 12-speed chains.
